American Theatre Magazine has released this year's list of the top 20 most produced playwrights among Theatre Communications Group theatres.

For the third year in a row, Ken Ludwig is on that list, this time at number 9.

American Theatre started counting the Top 20 playwrights in 2014 and so far, 2016-17 is the most diverse season yet, with 8 playwrights of color and 6 women represented, an increase from last year (with 3 and 5, respectively).

In a recent interview with Bill Hirschman for American Theatre entitled, "Where are the New Plays? Everywhere!" Ken emphasized how much he has enjoyed developing and premiering his last several plays at regional theatres.

Baskerville and A Comedy of Tenors are among Ken's most-produced titles this year.

Baskerville premiered as a co-production with Arena Stage and McCarter Theatre.

McCarter Theatre and Cleveland Play House co-produced the world premiere of A Comedy of Tenors.

The newest of Ken's titles on this list is his adaptation of Agatha Christie's Murder On The Orient Express which will premiere at McCarter Theatre in the spring.
